The 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of the DPCW must be Implemented for peace

peace

HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee gave this motivational statement at the Press Conference for the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul.

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL explained, North Korea has already done nuclear test 6 times now. In the midst of this current status, HWPL has continued its peace activities, transcending nationalities, ethnicities, and religions. The 3rd Annual commemorative event is being held and participated in nationwide, as well as in various places of the world, at this very moment. We have to cooperate together to participate in these peace initiatives to achieve the ultimate peace.”

The flurry of anticipation filled the conference room as reporters coming from different media agencies raised their hands to ask more questions to HWPL’s Chairman, Man Hee Lee. Also, the questions regarding peace education and the spreading a culture of peace initiatives were thrown to IWPG’s chairwoman Nam Hee Kim.
Around 117 journalists and 105 press agencies from 45 countries including those in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and others participated in the Q&A session. The primary question topics were regarding international law, peace education, women’s peace activities, spreading a culture of peace  initiatives, peace in the Korean peninsula, and religious conflict and peace.

Peace

Reporters showed great interest in HWPL’s activities especially those done for the progress of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War and its peace-spreading campaigns.

HWPL Chairman Man Hee Lee proclaimed, “All people yearn for peace, but until now, there was no sustainable method to achieve it since we still have an everyday environment where we are exposed to violence. The 10 Articles and 38 clauses of the DPCW is the method. Furthemore, peace education, as another method to achieve peace, is necessary for all students and citizens.”

Press Conference Q & A Session

hwpl,peace,press conference,3rd warp summit, question

Q) We hear a lot about terrorism and other violent activities occurring throughout the world. Through what methods can we let the world, especially religious groups, hear the voices of peace and respond to the culture of peace?
-Mourad Sellami, Dune Voices, Tunisia

“Religion, as the forerunner of the achievement of peace, must become the light that enlightens the global community. There are many conflicts due to religious misunderstandings. The World Alliance of Religions’ Peace, WARP Summit has been initiated due to this cause. What is the promise that we made at the first summit?

Political leaders will implement the law for peace; Religious leaders will become united in God; Organization leaders will practically implement these peace initiatives in the field. The Ultimate reason that religious misunderstandings arise and gaps are continuing to widen is because there is a misunderstanding in the comprehensive understanding of each religious scripture.

The WARP Offices are proving that when leaders of religious communities come together in accordance with the understanding of their religous scriptures, the true alliance of religous will be seen. This is now actively being practiced throughout the world.

Also, for the process of building cessation of war and world peace, the role of the international press is imperative.

The ability to make progress really relies on the efforts of the media to spread this news of peace.”

-Chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee

Q) What is the most important thing for women to do
to popularize the peace education curriculum globally?
-Juliana golloshi, Balkan Web, albania

“For the implementation of peace education, I think we need to know the contents of the education as well as its proponents.

In other words, the peace education carried out in this world is based on the mindset of chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL and his footsteps for peace. He is the living curriculum of peace education.

At the 2nd commemoration last year, during my speech, I mentioned a code of conduct to the global community. As the fourth point, I stated that peace education should be implemented throughout the world. Since then, peace education has been actively implemented at many schools and education has been actively implemented at many schools and educational institutions.

This education trains children and youth to learn and build their behavior, attitudes, and communication skills to solve conflicts and issues peacefully. HWPL’s Chairman, Man Hee Lee has established IWPG knowing that mothers are the proponents of peace found in the family and in the community. As one wing of HWPL, along with the heart of a mother IWPG supports the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War and urges leaders of various sectors of society to join in support as well because the document aims to protect children and women and their rights to enjoy peace.

Peace education has to be practiced from the family level all the way through elementary, middle, and high schools and even to universities. IGOs such as UN and UNESCO are to cooperate with HWPL so that the education will be embedded in our everyday lives in order to cease all conflicts.”

-Chairwoman of IWPG, Nam Hee Kim

Q) What outcomes can we anticipate from this event,
as the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the September 18th?
-Thiptawan Teeranaipong, Thai PBS, Thailand

“All people of the world have to think of the purpose that HWPL pursues and how it is related to the world today. The means of hosting this 3rd Annual Commemorative event is to raise awareness of the issue of peace among many and awaken those people who are asleep in relation to peace.

The 3rd Annual Commemoration of the WARP Summit is not only being held in Seoul but many parts of the world are now also participating. Throughout Korea, too, at this moment, people are lending their ears to this conference.

We have come together to cease all wars and establish peace, and also to urge the world to acknowledge the need for removing weapons of mass destruction.

With those weapons of destruction still in existence, can we really achieve peace in this world? For what purpose were they produced? Aren’t they for war and killing? When war occurs, who goes out to the front line to fight? Aren’t they our children? Do the governments and laws compensate for their sacrifices? In order to make a real compensation, shouldn’t they bring all the victims back to life?

Can we say that those are complete laws and policies? This globe, that is full of life, was given to men as their inheritance. Then, shouldn’t we protect and preserve it? All the politicians and professionals in the political field need to think of and perceive the achievement of peace differently. I also urge all journalists and press to play their role in spreading the messages of peace to all leaders and citizens transparently.”

-Chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee

Q) Is there a way to spread peace culture in the most effective way?
-Igor Shevyrov, Izvestia in Ukraine, Ukraine

“Our purpose is to spread a culture of peace and we, with a passionate heart fo peace, have to become the realities of peace. I think that it should be conveyed with a sense of mission rather than just telling it unilaterally. To convey the news of this peace event, rather than other events, is the most valuable news that all humanity is looking forward to.

All press coming from different parts of the world have now listened to the answers of peace. So, I encourage you to deliver this news through various news platforms and SNS with responsibility. But remember that the proponents are the most important.

Our IWPG will continue to walk with HWPL and put forth every effort to leave the legacy of a world free of wars to future generation through advocating for the establishment of the law for peace and spreading a culture of peace through various women’s peace activities. To those who ar here, once again, I urge everyone to take part actively with the mindset of an owner to deliver the news of peace.”

-Chairwoman of IWPG, Nam Hee KIm

Those who gathered at this conference have the responsibility to be the eyes of the global community. Starting from this moment, the press cooperating with HWPL will report the reality of peace to not only their home countries but to all people.

If peace education is performed from childhood, our children won’t hold guns.
We need to educate our children that achieving world peace is extremely natural.

The people on the globe should be the messenger of world peace and work for cessation of war, world peace with the same mind and the same will enthusiastically.
We need to put our mind and will together in order to hand down new era, new world and new life to mankind.

Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) of the Philippines held an unveiling ceremony for the Monument to the Declaration of World Peace at the center of their base camp located in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao Province. This area was once known as one of the bloodiest conflict zones in Asia.

Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim of MILF extended an invitation to Mr. Man Hee Lee, Chairman of HWPL, Ms. Nam Hee Kim, Chairwoman of International Women’s Peace Group, and the HWPL Peace Delegation to commemorate the historical Mindanao Peace Agreement led by Chairman Lee on January 24, 2014. Chairman Ebrahim also decided to designate January 24th of every year as ‘HWPL Day’.

On January 24, 2016 the Monument to the Declaration of World Peace, the second HWPL Peace Monument in the Philippines, was shown to the public. The first HWPL Peace Monument had been built only eight months prior in May 2015.

Over 10,000 people from MILF and Moro communities participated in the unveiling ceremony and designation ceremony of HWPL Day. Political stability, economic development, and sustainable development are some of the projects being carried out by these communities in conjunction with HWPL. HWPL as an international NGO, has been leading peace discussions with MILF representatives, Muslim, and Catholic communities, as well as the government of the Philippines.

Keynote messages delivered by Chairman Ebrahim and Chairman ManHeeLee are both inscribed on the Monument along with the Declaration of World Peace which was proclaimed by Chairman Lee on May 25, 2013 in Seoul, South Korea before 30,000 people from 130 different countries, announcing the practical methods to achieve world peace.“This monument has been built on this hallowed ground to honor the people of the Bangsamoro who struggled for justice so that all the communities of Mindanao and Sulu – Muslim, Christian, and Lumad – will live in peace. Furthermore, this monument stands as a testament of support by the people of the Bangsamoro for the ‘International Law (Convention) of World Peace’ advocated in the United Nations by the Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light (HWPL) led by Chairman ManHee Lee of South Korea,” presented by Chairman Ebrahim.

All participants of the Declaration Ceremony of HWPL Day are witnessting the start of a sustainable peace in Moro communities

Having participated in the 1st Annual Commemoration of the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit this past September in Korea, Chairman Ebrahim, on behalf of MILF, said “Chairman ManHeeLee’s visit sends a very strong message to our people that we are not alone in our search for genuine and lasting peace. It also symbolizes the start of a partnership and cooperation between Mindanao Province, MILF, and HWPL.” In March 2015, MILF and the Philippines government came to final negotiations with the Bangsamoro Basic Law. In return, MILF voluntarily began decommissioning their weapons and soldiers. MILF has shown its dedication for peace work.

Before the unveiling ceremony, MILF chairman presented an appreciation plaque to Chairman Lee for his dedication of bringing peace to Mindanao, marking this 7th visit. Centered in MILF’s camp, HWPL’s peace activity will serve as a catalyst to spread the message of peace to the Davao, Mamasapano and General Santos regions, transforming the island of conflict into the island of peace.

Furthermore, ‘HWPL Day’ was designated not only in Maguindanao in the Philippines but also in Carson City, LA and Alexandria, VA in the United States, the Royal Bafokeng Nation in South Africa, as well as in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.

As its name indicates, Ra – Me, Ma – Light, Gya – Inner Voice, the Ramagya School values and ensures to create a peaceful and creative atmosphere to foster youth’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Recognizing its dedication and commitment, Chairman Man Hee Lee said, “While visiting many universities and faith-based educational institutions around the world and meeting with countless students and faculty, my message to them has been the same. As the new generation of leaders, we must become active proponents of world peace. The voice of youth, the essential element to realize peace, is resonating throughout the world, guaranteeing peace for humanity.”

Chairwoman Nam Hee Kim said, “I firmly believe that the non-violence movement started by Gandhi can be fulfilled through the HWPL peace initiatives. As the Ramagya School became a Peace Academy, we will support and educate students to become the leading figures not only in India but also throughout the world. I sincerely congratulate you.” This innovative approach to teach students the practical steps of peace through peace education is catching on and being adopted by many prestigious institutions.

Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Chairman of Ramagya School and President of Purusharth Charitable Society, recalled his meeting with Chairman Man Hee Lee exactly a year ago and eagerly contributed to implementing the peace course. Recognizing the efforts of the HWPL Peace Delegation in many parts of the world and celebrating the designation ceremony, the school also unveiled the Monument to commemorate the Declaration of World Peace. The Declaration was presented by Chairman Man Hee Lee in 2013 on behalf of women and youth of the world at the Peace Gate in Seoul. The Monument is now an emblem of world peace in Noida.

With the grace and life we have received – are we entitled to fight, kill and destroy one another? We cannot claim to desire peace and continue to provoke one another, causing conflict for the sake of valuing our own national interests above those of others. This is not a legacy we can leave to future generations … Of what use is a young life, born in our day and age, if it is thrown away without having had a chance to bloom? What price can compensate for the loss of a life? … We call on the heads of state of every country to sign an international agreement – a commitment to bringing all wars to an end. … The only way to stop the fighting and pointless tragic deaths is to stop fighting.

On their 22nd world peace tour, Mr, Man Hee Lee, Chairman of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) and Ms. Nam Hee Kim, Chairwoman of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) visited Albania to meet international heads of states, religious leaders, media, and youth to speak on the urgency of a united global commitment for HWPL’s two initiatives: an International Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts and an alliance of religions through its WARP Peace Offices.

December 9th at 6:30 p.m., (local time), News 24, Albania’s first and top rated 24-hour news channel, invited the two chairpersons to its studio to cover an exclusive and in-depth interview on their peace initiatives. Mr. Rezar Xhaxhiu, an editor in chief and journalist at TV News 24, hosted the interview.

XhaxhiuXhaxhiu: What are the objectives of HWPL, and what approach does it take to solve pressing issues in the world?
Man Hee LeeMan Hee Lee: We, HWPL, have been doing the work of peace with definite solutions that will put an end to all wars around the world and leave a legacy of world peace to our future generations. Having the enactment of the International Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts and networking to build a strong alliance of religions are the two main solutions to bring about peace.

To accomplish such initiatives, HWPL invited and appointed experts in international law as the HWPL International Law Peace Committee at the 1st Annual Commemoration of World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit. Recently, we presented the revised draft of the Convention in London, UK. Religious leaders around the world are actively undertaking the interfaith peace dialogue based on scriptures through the WARP Office meetings.

While in their pursuit, many religious leaders are deepening their understanding and learning through comparing and contrasting the texts respectively. It is truly remarkable to see the progress. To build a strong alliance of religions, one needs to truly act upon what he or she pledged. 80% of on-going wars can be linked to religious conflicts, only when the scriptures are unified can religions be united as one and extinguish these conflicts. Then, we can truly say that we have built an alliance of religions.

Xhaxhiu Xhaxhiu: What work do IWPG and IPYG carry out for peace?

Nam Hee Kim Nam Hee Kim: One of the practical solutions to world peace that Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL presented was to have the enactment of the International Convention on Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts. For this, all members of IWPG based on regional offices in worldwide are actively collaborating to build peace network with NGOs in pursuit of peace.

Once the Convention is implemented, IWPG members in each state will stand and speak out to urge current heads of state to abide by the provisions of the Convention and actively support and put to practice its provisions for their people and nation. During the May 25th Peace walk, Chairman Lee proclaimed the Declaration of World Peace in front of 30,000 youths at peace plaza of the Republic of Korea.

Since that time IPYG members around the world gather on May 25th each year to commemorate the proclamation and support HWPL’s work of peace. The members of IPYG and IWPG aim to serve as the two wings of HWPL to soar high in leading the implementation process of the International Convention.

XhaxhiuXhaxhiu: What are the main driving forces for bringing world peace?

Exclusive Interview With Peace Advocate Man Hee Lee of HWPL and Nam Hee Kim of IWPG

Man Hee Lee.jpg
Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL has appointed Rezar Xhaxhiu, a newsreader of News 24, as the HWPL publicity ambassador

Man Hee Lee Man Hee Lee: “It is possible when you act! It remained an impossible task because we didn’t act!” There have been countless organizations and people in pursuit of world peace in the history of mankind, who received Nobel Peace prizes and yet we still live in the world flooded by violence and war. I have been meeting with current and former presidents, chief justices of the Supreme Court, religious leaders and leaders of NGOs to present definite solutions to establish world peace.

Then, I shared this with media to inform people of all nations what we pledged during our meetings. If media and journalists frequently cover such good news, peace will prevail sooner. To all journalists and reporters in the world, I kindly ask you to do your best and carry out your responsibility to report news on peace work frequently and accurately. Let us become the messengers of peace, transcending all nationalities, ethnicities, and religions.

XhaxhiuXhaxhiu: What differentiates peace movements led by HWPL from other peace activities?

Nam Hee Kim Nam Hee Kim: After sharing how tirelessly Chairman Lee pursues to present practical solutions for world peace and what has been accomplished in every corner of the world, we have convinced many that we can certainly greet an era of peace in our lifetime. Many are eagerly expressing their willingness to join the work of peace with us.

Indeed, all of our efforts and dedication have been completed and are being carried out exactly as we suggested and presented to the international community. IWPG and IPYG are setting the foundations for HWPL as the two wings that rally and educate women and youth, who are the task force of the work of establishing peace, of their roles in this generation. That is the most distinguishable feature of our work.

Upon receiving an invitation from President Bujar Nishani of Albania, Chairman Man Hee Lee of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) made the long trip from South Korea to Albania. Albania is located at the center of Balkan Peninsula, also known as the “Powder Keg” of Europe, because of the political and religious conflicts that have long persisted there.

December 8th at 10 a.m., (local time), the ‘25th Anniversary of the Fall of Communism’ was held in Tirana Sheraton Hotel, celebrating the revolution in Central and Eastern Europe that led to the fall of communism in 1990 which was stirred by a youth movement. Hosted by President Nishani, the anniversary, considered the biggest commemoration in Albania, was attended by over 80 leaders in various fields including, former and current political leaders from all over Europe such as President Atifete Jahjaga of Kosovo, Stjepan Mesić, former President of Croatia, and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey. As a Korean War Veteran at the forefront of leading the unification of the two Koreas, Chairman Lee of HWPL, accompanied by Chairwoman Nam Hee Kim of the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), was invited to deliver a keynote speech.

Chairman Man Hee Lee said “Korea is a country divided into North and South by political leaders. The North is yet far from being liberated from the Communist party. Dear citizens of Albania, let us become messengers of peace and leave a legacy of peace to future generations by ceasing all wars on this earth. Through urging the implementation of the International Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of Wars and International Armed Conflicts, let us make a peaceful world where we can also form a strong alliance of religions, moving the heart of individuals in search of peace amid struggles and persistent violence in the world.”

“The systematic process that led to communism’s fall in Albania is very similar to that of democratization in South Korea. The collective wishes for peace and freedom moved all of Albania to transform the government’s structural hurdles and we now see the free Albania of today.” said Chairwoman Kim of the IWPG. She continued in her speech, “With Chairman Lee of HWPL who has practical solutions to achieve world peace and the cessation of all wars, I have been traveling to unite the efforts of all 3.6 billion women on this planet to use their motherly love to make peace a reality, even on this 22nd world peace tour. Korea remains divided by different ideologies. As a representative of the NGO, Chairman Man Hee Lee has restlessly pursued the peaceful unification of the two Koreas and proclaimed the Declaration of Unification and Declaration of World Peace. All female attendees present in this room, let us become one with the IWPG and establish peace together,” urging both youth and women to speak in one voice for peace.

The 25th Anniversary of the Fall of Communism was broadcasted live through the Albanian regional broadcasting station, News 24. Chairman Man Hee Lee and his peace delegation are scheduled to have an in-depth studio interview at the Balkan web broadcasting station on December 9th.

Prior to attending the commemorative event, the two chairpersons met with prominent women leaders and women’s organization representatives at the ‘IWPG Women Leaders Seminar.’ All seminar attendees registered as IWPG members, pledging to enhance women’s peace activities in Albania.

As I am the chairwoman of a women’s organization, the IWPG, I would like to make a request to you on behalf of all women of the world.

For us mothers who protect children, wars must be eradicated from the face of the earth.

So, we will urge for an international convention on the cessation of war until it is drafted and implemented.
I hope you will first believe that each one of you was chosen by the heavens and was sent to this place for the mission of creatin the convention on the cessation of war for the sake fo humanity.

If Mr. Man Hee Lee, the best expert in the law of the heavens, and you the world’s greatest experts in the law of the earth work together, I believe that all wars will be put to an end through the convention and peace will be established for our future generations.

Until this work is accomplished, we 3.6 billion women of the world are determined to fulfill our mission as one family of the IWPG.

I earnestly request you to work together for the implementation of the international convention.
