Nigeria Participates In HWPL Peace Walk

On May 25th 2015, in Seoul, South Korea, the peace walk in the commemoration of the 2nd Year Anniversary on the Declaration of World Peace that 200,000 youths from all around the world participated has finished with great success.

Riding on a wave of world peace, on June 2nd, in Ehime Mbano, three Nigerian youth groups participated in this movement.

This peace walk event, led by International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) and International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), both Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL)’s affiliated organizations, was held in Comprehensive Secondary School in Ehime Mbano, Nigeria.

The students of People to People International Nigeria Chapter, Partners for Peace in the Niger Delta Imo State Chapter and Christian Fellowship and Care Foundation joined together.

Furthermore, 396 youth representatives gathered as well.

Through this event, we are going meditate on the meaning of the declaration of world peace with 200,000 members who gathered from various countries in Seoul and send our earnest feeling toall youths in the world.”

The event began by a speech of a principal of a Nigerian school Ohaegbu Augustina, followed by Nwordu Darlington and Jane Ijeoma Onwuka, the youth leaders’ messages.

A religious leader Evangelist Albert M. Ezeigwe and community representative Hon. Elias Nwaohiri also presented.

After listening to messages of each speaker, the audience watched the highlight of the 2nd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace.

The participants were very excited to participate in the walk festival and march for peace together holding colorful pickets and banners.

The principle requested the event to be continued in the future and encouraged students to participate in and spread the movement to other schools and communities.

They also voluntarily appointed three students as student peace advocates to establish peace and spread such messages.

The school commented that the peace walk took place at the right time and right place because youths of today have experienced and exposed too much to violence-related acts than ever.

The student participants requested HWPL to continue to practice the peace movement and start organizing peace clubs in schools as well.

After the Declaration of World Peace was presented by Chairman Lee of HWPL on May 25th 2013, in front of youths from all around the world, he has been appealing to former and current Presidents and religious leaders about the need of the cessation of all wars and world peace.

Due to his efforts of a decisive role of the cessation of a 40-year conflict in Mindanao, he has received an international recognition through countless awards and letters of appreciation.
